Unforgettable fishig trip with my son
Juan made sure we had the best possible experience on our whole day fishing trip on the incredibly beautiful Lake Peñol-Guatape. The trip was super easy to organize, and Juan thought of every detail, even grabbing some special snacks that worked with my diet. He taught us a lot about fishing in this area and made us feel like it was okay to make as many mistakes as we needed to learn. My seven-year-old son's casting skills and mine got way better thanks to his attitude and teaching style, and we were never bored. Juan brought us a great breakfast, and we had a delicious lunch in the shade of some trees on a beautiful island. Even though the fishing was tough that day, we managed to catch some largemouth bass and kept at it until the very last minutes of the trip. We wouldn't hesitate for a second to go fishing with Juan again and are sure we'd have another awesome day with lots of good vibes. A perfect family day fishing in Guatapé
We had an amazing day fishing as a family, and it turned out to be one of the most special experiences of our trip. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized. Transportation from Medellín was smooth and comfortable, and once we arrived, the scenery was absolutely beautiful. Being out on the water surrounded by nature was incredibly relaxing. What made this experience even more special was that it was family-friendly. Our daughter felt safe, included and excited the entire time. The guide was very patient, kind and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything and making sure she enjoyed the experience, even though it was her first time fishing. All the equipment was provided, and we didn’t have to worry about anything. Lunch and snacks were delicious, and the whole day felt calm, unhurried and well thought out. This is not just about fishing — it’s about spending quality time together, disconnecting from the city and enjoying Colombia in a unique way. If you’re looking for a private, well-organized and meaningful day trip near Medellín, this experience is absolutely worth it. Outstanding Guiding and Local Expertise
I had the opportunity to participate in a trout fishing tournament in Labores, Antioquia, and I want to give special thanks to our guide, Juan Felipe, for his outstanding work. His deep knowledge of the river, precise reading of the water, and constant advice throughout the day made a huge difference. Every tip was clear, timely, and based on real experience — from fly selection to positioning and technique. Thanks to his guidance, strategy, and calm leadership, I was able to fish with confidence and ultimately win the tournament. Incredible experience fishing in Colombia with Juan. I caught a trophy Morrudo the first day fishing with Juan. We also caught tons of largemouth and peacock bass. On the third day we did some pacu fishing and that was also a success. Overall it was awesome and I’d highly recommend anyone wanting to go fishing to book with Juan. He is a good man with a deep passion for fishing and an expert in targeting the local species. Not only did he put me onto some good fish, he became like a brother to me in Colombia. A super fun day of fishing with Anglers Columbia!
We had a memorable and fun experience doing a full day of fishing with Juan of Anglers Columbia. He was very responsive in communication to get everything set up and graciously offered to pick us up at the dock close to our hotel. Juan is very passionate about fishing and really tries hard to give you the best experience possible. The breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks he provided, gave us a chance to enjoy authentic Colombian food. His instruction is excellent, the scenery is breathtaking, and we even caught a mojarra… A once in a lifetime experience for us! Many of the excursions are similar and touristy in this area. If you are looking for something different and a way to really enjoy the outdoors, Anglers Colombia is a fantastic option. Quiero agradecer especialmente a Juan Felipe de Anglers Colombia por todo el entusiasmo que transmite por la pesca. Ese entusiasmo logró contagiar a mis hijos y a toda mi familia. Con Juan Felipe hemos tenido la oportunidad de pescar tanto en el lago del Peñol como en pequeños lagos de una finca, y siempre ha sido una experiencia llena de emoción, dedicación y aprendizaje.
